Hello Everyone!!! I am Stacy Smith and will be the lead in organizing the class basket for our Spring Carnival (formerly the Fall Festival). I am thrilled that we have some time to plan for a fantastic class basket! That’s where you come in. . . . . . . . The Theme we were so lucky to get this year is: Reading
I met with our homeroom co-parents to brainstorm some ideas and we are so excited about the possibilities with this theme. If you have any ideas or contacts in electronics, books, etc. that would be willing to assist in discounted or donated products; we would welcome your information. I know we have some willing spirits and I am already grateful!
Some other thoughts we had:
1. Cash donations certainly
2. Along with a cash donation, if able, we’d love for each child to get a new copy of his/her favorite storybook to include in our basket. This will make our basket special because it will contain a favorite book from each of our children. What a way to share the joy of reading! (paperback versions are excellent of course)
3. We are also considering a book shelf/reading-type chair to display our collection of items instead on a “basket” hoping this will really turn some eyes AND be functional!
4. The biggest item we hope to obtain is a Kindle, Nook, or Sony eReader for wireless reading.
